Complete SUMMATIVE: Sketchbook & Storyboard
Before filming, you must complete: "SUMMATIVE: Sketchbook & Storyboard"
Film Based on Brainstorm
Review your brainstorm paper from "SUMMATIVE: Sketchbook & Storyboard"
Film your 8 different shots:
Day 1: Film 4 shots of the product with a group member as a model, use either a green screen or any other background on video pass (using your camera)
Day 2: Film 4 shots of the product by itself against a background paper (using your iPad)

Editing Requirements
15 - 30 seconds
Add music
Align audio marks/beats with video transitions
Include 1 text layer
Gather/Create Audio
Music
Find a song you like and click "Download"
[Optional] Voiceover
Record a voiceover with your iPad (using Voice Memos app)
AirDrop to your iMac
Organize Files
Set Up Finder
Go to your Finder in your dock.
Select the "Columns" icon or choose "as Columns" in the dropdown list.
Select "Kind" the next dropdown to the right.
Move Files to "6 - Composition"
Go to your Finder in your dock.
Navigate to your "My Drive" > "Video Production" > "6 - Composition"
Right-click on "Downloads" and click "Open in new tab"
Move the iPad video files and music file from your "Downloads" to your "6 - Composition"
Next open your SD card and move your camera video files to to your "6 - Composition"
New Project, Rename & Import
Open Premiere Pro and click "New Project"
Name your project "Video Ad"
Click "Home" on the left menu
Navigate to "My Drive" > "Video Production" > "6 - Composition"
Select all the files.
Click "Create"
Trim Videos
Trim your videos so your total video is around 15-30 seconds.
Add a Text Layer
Add a text layer about your product
Mark Music Transitions/beats
Add at least 4 markers to your audio.
If you can't remember how to do this, review: Text & Audio
Edit your text/videos so the transitions are in line with your audio markers/beats
[Optional] Mute Video Audio
If your video audio isn't necessary:
Click the "M" next to A1 Audio Track to mute your video audio.
Tag Audio Track(s) & Auto-Match Loudness
In the right side panel, open "Essential Sound"
When you select an audio clip and open Essential Sound for the first time, you should see an option to tag your audio clip.
Tag each audio clip based on the category:
Music
Dialogue (for optional voiceover)
Go through each of your audio tracks and under "Loudness" click "Auto-Match"
Duck your music against your dialogue if needed
Screenshot Your Editing Timeline
Take a screenshot (cmd + shift + 5, capture)
Move your screenshot to "My Drive" > "Video Production" > "6 - Composition"
Export Your Video
In the top tabs, click "Export"
Rename the "File Name" to "Video Ad"
Make sure the blue hyperlink next to "Location" is saving to "My Drive" > "Video Production" > "6 - Composition"
Click Export in the bottom right corner.
Check Your Folder
Double check you have all the required files:
iPad videos
Camera videos
Music
Exported video (Video Ad.mp4)
Screenshot
Submit Google Drive Link to Canvas
In Finder:
Right-click on "Video Production" and click "Copy link to clipboard"
Paste the link in Canvas.
