Telestrations
Create a New Illustrator File
Open the Creative Cloud Icon in your Dock
Open Illustrator
Click "Letter"
Review Layers Panel
Go to the "Layers" tab in the right side.
Review the different parts of the Layers panel.
To Start Telestrations
Use the Type Tool to write:Â
a noun (person place or thing) doing something (verb-ing)
Lock your layer
Stand up and push your chair in.
Move one computer to the right.
Text to Drawing
Read the text and hide the layer.
Make a new layer.
Use the Paintbrush to draw the text.
Lock your layer.
Drawing to Text
Look at the drawing and hide the layer.
Make a new layer.
Use the Type tool to write what you see.
Lock your layer.
Repeat
Repeat until the game is over.
To Finish:
Go back to your seat
Look through all your layers to see what your original prompt turned into.
Unhide all your layers
Save as a PDF
In order to turn your file in on Canvas, you will need to save or export the file to a different file format onto your computer.
In top menu, click "File" > "Save As"
Click "Save on your computer"
Where: "Creative Cloud Files"
Format: "Adobe PDF (pdf)"
Click "Save"
"Continue with PDF"
"Save PDF"
Submit PDF on Canvas
Go to the Canvas assignment and upload your file.
