SUMMATIVE: Sketchbook & Storyboard
Requirements
Create a 15-30 second video ad for a product that shows your understanding of composition techniques. This project is for 2 summatives:
Part 1: Brainstorm (SUMMATIVE: Sketchbook & Storyboard)
Part 2: Film/Edit (SUMMATIVE: Video Ad)
Choose A Product
Pick a small product (smaller than a shoe)
examples: wind-up toy, AirPods, shoe,
Use Both Filming Techniques
Film the product with a group member as a model (using your camera) (either out on Video Pass or in the studio)
Film the product by itself against a background paper (using your iPad or camera)
Complete Sketchbook
Complete all sketchbook pages for shot sizes and framing techniques (that you have been present for). There were 31 pages total: https://www.hodgesclass.com/video/sketchbook
Show your completed sketchbook to Mrs. Hodges. Make sure to have StudentVue pulled up with any absences.
Brainstorm video ad
Complete the "SUMMATIVE: Storyboard" document to plan your 8 different shots.
4 of your shots must be filmed with a model (either out on video pass or in the studio) (with your camera)
4 of your shots must be filmed in class against a paper background (with your iPad or camera)
You must include at least:
All shots using the rule of thirds
3 Different Shot Sizes
3 Different Camera Angles
3 Different Camera Movements
2 Different Framing Techniques
1 Example of Nose Room
1 Example of Lead Room

Use your iPad to take a photo of your finished Storyboard
Add your photo to "My Drive" > "Video Production" > "6 - Composition"
Submit Google Drive Link to Canvas
In Finder:
Right-click on "Video Production" and click "Copy link to clipboard"
Paste the link in Canvas.
