Choice Vector Trace
Copy Illustrator Template
Go to the Choice Vector Trace template
If you aren't already signed in to Adobe, click "Sign in" in the top right corner.
Click "Copy to Files"
Open the Creative Cloud desktop app.
Right-click and click "Open"
Choose an Object
Choose an object from the left side of the template.
Move: Using the "Selection Tool" click and drag at least one object over to the artboard.
Resize: Hold down "Shift" and drag a corner to make the object bigger.
Lock: In your "Layers" panel on the right side, click the empty square next to the "References" layer to lock it.
Get Ready to Trace
In your "Layers" panel on the right side, click on your "Objects" layer.
In Properties (or on the left toolbar), change the fill/stroke:
Fill: None
Stroke: Black
Trace Each individual Shape
Using your "Pen Tool" "Curvature Tool" or "Shape Tools", trace all the different individual shapes in your object. Remember:
Every color must be an enclosed shape.
Your shapes are layered on top of each other.
You can move the shapes aside once you are finished tracing and then place them back at the end.
To change the color, click on the shape, click the "Eyedropper Tool" and click the template color.
Hide Your Reference Layer
In your "Layers" panel, click the eye icon to the left of your "Reference" layer to hide it.
Create a Background
In your "Layers" panel, select "Background"
Click on the "Rectangle tool" in the left toolbar
Click and drag to create a rectangle that covers your artboard.
Double-click the black square on the bottom of the left toolbar to open the "Color Picker"
Choose a color.
Lock your background layer.
Save as a PDF File
Go to "File" > "Save As..."
Click "Save on your computer"
Make sure it is going to save in "Creative Cloud Files"
Change the Format to "Adobe PDF (pdf)"
Click "Save"
Turn in PDF to Canvas
Turn in your .pdf file on Canvas.
