Download Music from Pixabay
Either connect your own headphones or borrow a pair from the cabinet.
Go to Pixabay.com/music
Find a song you like and click "Download"
Move Audio to Google Drive
Go to your Finder in your dock and go to "Downloads"
Move your audio file to your "Google Drive" > "Video Production" > "3 - Premiere Pro" > "Formatives" folder
Open Premiere Pro, Rename & LOcation
Open Creative Cloud in your dock. Under the "Apps" tab, find Premiere Pro and click "Open" to the right
Click "New Project"
Name your project: Text
Change the "Project location" to your "Formatives" folder.
Click "Choose Location..."
Navigate to "My Drive" > "Video Production" > "3 - Premiere Pro" > "Formatives" >
Click "Choose"
Choose 1 video from Sample Media
Click "Sample Media" on the left column of the Import screen.
Select one video (click the check box)
Select Your Audio
Click "Home" on the left menu
Double-click the "My Drive"
Double-click into "Video Production"
Double-click into "3 - Permiere Pro" then "Formatives"
Check your recently downloaded audio.
Click create.
Listen to Audio and Mark
Select your green audio file rectangle so there is an outline around it.
Play and listen (on your keyboard, click the space bar to play/pause)
You want to find noticeable beats or audio transitions.
Pause when you find one (you can fine tune your placement with the back/forward arrow keys on your keyboard)
Place a marker by clicking "M" on your keyboard.
The green markers should be on your green audio rectangle (not on top of the timeline)
Repeat until you have at least 5 markers.
Trim Audio
Using your Ripple Edit tool trim your audio so that it ends a few seconds after your last audio marker.
Move Video to Last Marker
If your video has an audio layer, drag it down a level using your selection tool.
Then drag your video to start at your last marker.
Adjust Your Workspace
In the top menu bar, go to "Window" > "Workspace" and select "Effects"
This will adjust your workspace to add another panel on the right which will show "Effects" "Essential Graphics" "Essential Sound" etc. in a list.
Add a Text Layer
Drag your playhead to the start of your timeline.
Select your timeline area if it does not have a light blue border around it.
On your keyboard click "cmd" + "T"
A pink rectangle should show up
Edit Text
In the right-side toolbar, click "Essential Graphics" to open a bunch of text options.
Double-click on the text on your video to highlight the text in the textbox.
Type: "(Your Name) Presents"
Under "Text" click the centered icon
Under "Align and Transform" click the second icon that will center your text on the screen.
Double-click to highlight again.
Choose a font on the right-side toolbar.
Zoom In Horizontally
Drag the right circle on the bar at the bottom of your timeline to zoom in horizontally.
Trim Your Text
Using your selection tool, trim your text to end at your second marker.
Copy & Edit Text Layer
Select your text layer
Click "cmd" + "C" to copy your text layer.
Move your playhead to your second marker.
Click "cmd" + "V" to paste a copy of your text layer.
Triple-click on the text to edit.
Replace the text with a name for your video
Trim Your Text
Using your selection tool, trim your text to end at your third marker.
Repeat for 3 more text layers
Repeat the copy, edit, and trim process until you have 5 total text boxes with your last one ending at your 5th marker and video
Trim Your Audio
Trim your audio to end at the end of your video.
Save Your Project
In the top menu, click "File" > "Save"

On your keyboard click "cmd" + "shift" + "5" at the same time to bring up the screenshot screen
Adjust the rectangle around your timeline
Click Capture.
The screenshot will show up in the bottom right of your screen. Let it move off screen on it's own so it saves.
Export Your Video
In the top tabs, click "Export"
Rename the "File Name" to "Text Final"
Click the blue hyperlink next to "Location" and make sure it is saving in your "Formatives" folder.
Click Export in the bottom right corner.
Upload to Canvas
Upload 2 files to Canvas:
