SUMMATIVE: Interview Footage
Project Brief
Film 6 different shots with various apertures, shooting in 4 different locations, and making sure all of your shots are focused and exposed correctly. You will use this footage in the next unit's (Premiere Pro) summative.
This is an individual project: you must operate the camera for your own video (if you are in your own video, you need to set up the camera, press record, and then hop in front of the camera).
Create a New Portfolio Folder
Go to your "Video Production" folder
Click "+ New" again then "New folder"
Name the folder: "2 - Interview Footage" and click "Create"
Double-click on your new folder to open.
Plan
Get a printed version or go to: Interview Plan & Notes (Google Doc)
Complete the "Interview Plan" portion.
Move Doc to Portfolio
Click the folder/arrow icon near the doc name.
Navigate to your "Video Production" > "2 - Interview Footage" folder.
Click "Move"
Get Approved
Raise your hand to get your plan approved.
Film & Take Notes
Bring your printed version or your iPad with your "Interview Plan & Notes" (Google Doc) open.
Go out on video pass and film your 6 shots according to your plan.
For each shot:
Record your chosen aperture
Check your exposure meter and adjust your ISO until you're exposure is on center (0)
Record your ISO
Move 6 Shots to Portfolio
Plug in your SD card to your iMac
Open your Google Drive "2 - Interview Footage" folder and your SD Card folder
Drag your 6 shots to your Google Drive folder
Rename Shots
Once the shots are in your Google Drive:
Rename according to the shot size:

Close-Up
Wide
Medium-Full 1
Medium-Full 2
Medium-Full 3
Copy Link & Submit to Canvas
Copy your link to your overall "Video Production" Google Drive folder.
Go to Canvas
Click "Submit Assignment"
Click in the text entry area.
On your keyboard, click "cmd" + "V" to paste the link.
Click "enter" or the spacebar to make the link a clickable blue underlined hyperlink.
Click "Submit Assignment"
