Remove Background & Embed

Find a High-Quality Image

1. On Google Images, search for an image of a person.

2. When you click on an image it will get bigger on the right side of your screen. 

3. Hover over the image and a "# x #" gray box will pop-up in the bottom right corner.

4. Look for an image with the biggest numbers you can find.

Save a Photo

1. Once you find a high-quality image you like, right-click and click "Save Image As..."

2. Save to "My Drive" > "Graphic Design" > "5 - Principles"

Go to Adobe Express and Sign in

1. Go to: https://www.adobe.com/express/

2. Click "Go to Adobe Express"

   1. If needed, click "Log in with school account"

Upload Image & Download

1. Click the purple "+" button in the top left.

2. Click "Quick actions" 

3. Click "Remove background"

4. Open "Finder" and go to "My Drive" > "Graphic Design 1" > "5 - Principles" and select your downloaded image.

5. Drag your image to the "Drag & drop an image" area.

6. Click "Download"

Move Downloaded Image

1. Open Finder

2. Navigate to "My Drive" > "Graphic Design 1" > "5 - Principles"

3. Right-click on "Downloads" and click "Open in new tab"

4. Move the downloaded image without a background from your "Downloads" to your "5 - Principles" tab

Drag-and-Drop the image

1. Open "Finder" and go to "My Drive" > "Graphic Design 1" > "5 - Principles" and select your image with the background removed (.png).

2. Drag-and-drop the image into Illustrator. 

3. Click into Illustrator so it will show up.

4. An error might pop up that says "Document contains Linked local asset(s). Click "OK"

Embed the Image

1. Make sure the image is selected.

2. In the "Properties" panel on the right-side toolbar, under "Quick Actions" click on the button that says "Embed"

Submit Google Drive Link to Canvas

In Finder:

1. Right-click on "Graphic Design" and click "Copy link to clipboard"

2. Paste the link in Canvas.
