A curated collection of your best work.
Easily show potential employers or clients.
Requirements
By the end of the trimester, in your "Graphic Design" Google Drive folder, you should have:
A folder for each summative with 2 versions of the project:
.jpg (for use in your final presentation)
.pdf (for printing, editing in the future)
Initial Setup
Create Google Drive Folder
Go to https://drive.google.com/ (or go to the portal and click on the Google Drive icon)
Sign into Google Drive with your school email.
Click "+ New" then "New folder"
Name your folder "Graphic Design" and click "Create"
Double-click on your new folder to open.
Change Share Settings
Go back to the "Graphic Design"
Click on the title, then "Share"
Under "General access" choose "Bethel School District"
Click "Copy link"
Click "Done"
Submit to Canvas
Go to Canvas
Click "Submit Assignment"
Click in the text entry area.
On your keyboard, click "cmd" + "V" to paste the link.
Click "enter" or the spacebar to make the link a clickable blue underlined hyperlink.
Click "Submit Assignment"
Update #1 (Sticker)
Add Image and Video to a New Folder in "Graphic Design" Folder
On your iPad, go to the Photos app
Select your final sticker image and timelapse video and tap the share icon in the bottom right.
Choose "Drive"
Tap your "Graphic Design Folder"
Tap the new folder icon
Name the folder: "1 - Sticker" and click "Create"
Tap "Save here"
Tap "UPLOAD" in the top right
Copy Link
Go to the "Google Drive" app
Go to "Files"
Find your "Graphic Design" folder and click the "..." to the right then "Copy link"
Submit to Canvas
Go to the Canvas app and find the assignment "Portfolio Update #2"
Click "Submit Assignment"
Tap the text entry area twice and tap "Paste"
Click "Submit"
Update #2 (Raster Collage)
Add Video to Google Drive & Make a New Folder
On your iPad:
Open the Photos app and locate your raster collage video.
Tap the share icon and tap "Drive"
Go into the "Folder" area and tap "My Drive"
Tap your "Graphic Design Folder"
Tap the new folder icon
Name the folder: "2 - Raster Collage" and click "Create"
Tap "Save here"
Tap "UPLOAD" in the top right
Add PDF
Open the Files app and locate your raster collage PDF.
Tap the share icon and tap "Drive"
Go into the "Folder" area and tap "My Drive"
Tap your "Graphic Design Folder" > "2 - Raster Collage"
Tap "Save here"
Tap "UPLOAD" in the top right
Copy Link
Go to the "Google Drive" app
Go to "Files"
Find your "Graphic Design" folder and click the "..." to the right then "Copy link"
Submit to Canvas
Go to the Canvas app and find the assignment "Portfolio Update #2"
Click "Submit Assignment"
Tap the text entry area twice and tap "Paste"
Click "Submit"
Update #3 (Display Font Poster)
Create a Folder "3 - Display Font Poster"
Find and open your "Graphic Design" folder
Click "+ New" again then "New folder"
Name the folder: "3 - Display Font Poster" and click "Create"
Double-click on your new folder to open.
Export PDF to JPG
Open "Finder"
Go to the "Creative Cloud Files" folder.
Locate your Display Font Poster PDF
Double-click to open in Preview
Click "File" > "Export"
For "Where" choose "Creative Cloud Files"
For "Format" choose "JPEG"
Adjust resolution to 300
Click "Save"
Drag PDF and JPG file to Google Drive
From Finder, drag both the PDF file and JPG file to Google Drive
Copy Link
Your files should upload to your Google Drive on your iMac momentarily
Go back to your main "Graphic Design" folder.
Click "Graphic Design" > "Get link" > "Copy link".
Submit to Canvas
Go to Canvas
Click "Submit Assignment"
Click in the text entry area.
On your keyboard, click "cmd" + "v" to paste the link.
Click "enter" or the spacebar to make the link a clickable blue underlined hyperlink.
Click "Submit Assignment"
Update #4 (Canvas Pouch)
Create a Folder: "4 - Canvas Pouch"
Find and open your "Graphic Design" folder
Click "+ New" again then "New folder"
Name the folder: "4 - Canvas Pouch" and click "Create"
Double-click on your new folder to open.
Add your SVG and Screenshots
Find your SVG and screenshots on your iMac (should be in your Finder in the Creative Cloud Files folder)

Drag the files into your new folder in Google Drive.
Submit to Canvas
Copy the link of your "Graphic Design" folder
Go to Canvas
Click "Submit Assignment"
Click in the text entry area.
On your keyboard, click "cmd" + "V" to paste the link.
Click "enter" or the spacebar to make the link a clickable blue underlined hyperlink.
Click "Submit Assignment"
Update #5 (Concert Poster)
Create a Folder: "5 - Concert Poster"
Find and open your "Graphic Design" folder
Click "+ New" again then "New folder"
Name the folder: "5 - Concert Poster" and click "Create"
Double-click on your new folder to open.
Export PDF to JPG
Open "Finder"
Go to the "Creative Cloud Files" folder.
Locate your PDF
Double-click to open in Preview
Click "File" > "Export"
For "Where" choose "Creative Cloud Files"
For "Format" choose "JPEG"
Adjust resolution to 300
Click "Save"
Drag PDF and JPG file to Google Drive
From Finder, drag both the PDF file and JPG file to Google Drive
Submit to Canvas
Copy the link of your "Graphic Design" folder
Go to Canvas

Update #6 (Client Project)
Add PDF & Make New Folder
On your iPad, open the Files app and locate your PDF.
Tap the share icon and tap "Drive"
Go into the "Folder" area and tap "My Drive"
Tap your "Graphic Design Folder"
Make a new folder "6 - Client Project"
Tap "Save here"
Tap "UPLOAD" in the top right
Copy Link
Go to the "Google Drive" app
Go to "Files"
Find your "Graphic Design" folder and click the "..." to the right then "Copy link"
Submit to Canvas
Go to the Canvas app and find the assignment "Portfolio Update #6"
Click "Submit Assignment"
Tap the text entry area twice and tap "Paste"
Click "Submit"
Presentation
Copy the Template
Click "Make a copy"
Choose Your Top 3 Projects
Look through your portfolio.
Narrow down your projects to the 3 (only 3) that you think show your skills the best.
Add Your Info
Slide #1: Insert your information
Slide #2: JPG of a chosen SUMMATIVE project & name of project
Slide #3: JPG of a chosen SUMMATIVE project & name of project
Slide #4: JPG of a chosen SUMMATIVE project & name of project
Organize
Move your Google Slides to your Graphic Design folder
Click the little folder icon near the file title
Locate your portfolio folder
Click "Move"
Submit to Canvas
Copy the link of your entire "Graphic Design" folder
Go to Canvas
Click "Submit Assignment"
Click in the text entry area.
On your keyboard, click "cmd" + "V" to paste the link.
Click "enter" or the spacebar to make the link a clickable blue underlined hyperlink.
Click "Submit Assignment"
