Designing Enamel Pins
You are a graphic designer working for GKHS tasked with designing an enamel pin for GKHS that represents the school (or a specific club/activity/event) to be sold in the student store.
Requirements:
Free-hand draw or find reference images to trace with vector tools/brushes
Must be vector artwork (no raster: no blending/smudging colors or gradients)
Up to 4 colors + 1 metal (for the outline between colors and shapes/text)
Optional: include a moving/spinning part, blinking light, or dangling pieces

Do you want to design a general GK pin?
Or do you want to design a pin specific to a club/activity/event?

If you would like to free-hand draw, you can skip this step.
If you would like to trace different elements of your design, look for images/graphics online.
GK Brand Element Requirements
Must include at least 2 of the following GK brand elements:
Color: Blue

Text: GK or GKHS

Create Canvas
On your iPad open Adobe Fresco
Create a 11 in x 11 in artboard.
Workflow
Draw outlines (metal)
Fill in color (soft enamel)
Choose an Outline Color
Choose a color for your outlines (this is the metal portion) Options:
Black
Silver (gray)
Gold (choose a color close to gold)
Gold:

Draw Outlines (Metal)
Choose a Vector brush (3rd brush icon)
Draw your outlines (this is the raised metal portion)
Fill in the colors (enamel)
Choose your 4 enamel colors
Fill in your outlines using the paint bucket tool
Save as a PDF File
On Fresco:
Tap the share icon at the top
Tap "Publish & Export"
Tap "Export as"
Rename to "GK Pin"
Choose "PDF"
Tap "Export"
Tap "Save to Files"
Within "Files" choose a location you'll remember
Invoice
Create a Copy of the Google Doc
Go to: Google Doc
Click "Make a Copy"
Add the GK Logo
Right-click on the GK logo
Click "Copy Image"
Highlight the first line of text on the Google Doc (top right)
Right-click and paste
Adjust the size of your logo so it is about one inch wide.
Add Info
Company Location: Graham, WA
Type your name
Job Title: Junior Designer
Invoice #: 1
Date: Thursday November, 9
Add Project Details
In "Project details" copy/paste: "Design an enamel pin for GKHS that represents the school to be sold in the student store."
Add Hour Descriptions
Type the date, description, and hours for each day you worked on the project.

Go to "File"
Hover over "Download" and click "PDF Document (.pdf)"
Upload to Canvas
Upload your project file PDF and resume PDF file to Canvas
